Follow easy online directions for soldering, and you can save around $60 or more fabricating your own high-quality custom length guitar cables, not counting the cost of soldering supplies. Presumably, anyone building their own guitar cable will probably build their own pedalboard patch cables, and you won't have to replace an iron anytime soon.
